SAMSUNG

Short-form content ahead of Galaxy Unpacked.

The opportunity.

Ahead of Galaxy Unpacked, Samsung’s campaign was asking people to take an interest before the reveal. The commercial objective was product reservations, giving anticipation a next step before the products were available.

What I contributed.

I created short-form video for the pre-launch product reservation campaign. My contribution brought the campaign into a creator format, connecting Samsung’s launch activity with an audience consuming short-form content.

That role required the content to serve a particular moment in the launch. It was about introducing the upcoming event and supporting the reservation campaign while there was still time for the audience to act.

The value to Samsung.

The work added a creator touchpoint to the pre-launch campaign. It gave Samsung another route to prospective customers and supported a specific action, rather than leaving the audience with awareness alone.

The benefit was campaign support at the consideration stage: getting the upcoming launch in front of viewers before the reveal and connecting that interest to the reservation opportunity.

What this demonstrates.

The audience was being asked to reserve ahead of a reveal, so the campaign served a different buying stage from a product demonstration or a direct sales ad. My contribution supported that specific stage: giving the upcoming launch visibility while the reservation opportunity was relevant.

About Samsung.

Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked is the company’s recurring launch event for new phones and wearables, and it draws attention from technology audiences worldwide.

What this means for your business.

Launch events create a short window when many people are searching for the same thing. Content published inside that window meets an audience that is already curious.

For a local business, the equivalent moments are seasonal rushes, grand openings, promotions and community events. Plan the content early enough to be ready when the window opens, because it closes quickly.

A local example: a landscaper’s spring clean-up offer or a retailer’s holiday hours needs its post, page and ad ready before the first customer search, not after.
